The moon hangs low
on its fishing line,
dangling at the end of a hook,
episodically close,
dressed in full ball gown,
designed to tempt the nightlife,
those unique souls
whom show themselves
but once a month, suddenly wakened,
celestially vibrant,
cyclically alive, unknowingly
salivating from the influence of the lunar bait.
