Puffed Up

It is easy
to make it
sound important.
Interruptions
of line
and breath.
But why pretend
to make it more
than it is?
A tune in the air,
a riff you remember,
not part
of a great song,
a few notes
that linger,
waiting to be
remixed,
repackaged
and forgotten
again.
